Hi! I’m Sierra Tice, founder of Tice Tutoring Company. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education from James Madison University in 2018 and have experience teaching and tutoring students with a wide range of learning needs. I began my career as a Special Education teacher in Richmond Public Schools before transitioning to Riverside School, a private school serving students with Dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.
In 2024, I completed my Orton-Gillingham Associate Level Coursework and Practicum and provided one-on-one Language Fundamentals instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach. I have also completed Marilyn Zecher’s Multisensory Math training and enjoy helping students build confidence and success in both reading and math. My favorite part of teaching is creating individualized instruction that helps students grow in confidence, develop new skills, and experience success along the way.
